Your Duties:
Stantec has an established and growing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Information Management (IM) Team. Stantec's GIS/IM Team, supported by other staff in Stantec offices throughout North America, works closely with project managers and clients to develop solutions that help our clients manage data and information. The GIS/IM Team is comprised of IM professionals, programmers, GIS analysts, and database administrators. The GIS/IM Team is experienced in developing Web portals, databases, and customized GIS applications. Stantec is seeking to hire a software developer with experience in application and database development for enterprise web applications in our Louisville or Lexington Kentucky offices. The candidate must be a self-motivated, organized, team oriented professional who can demonstrate resourcefulness, take initiative and is detail oriented. It is also vital for the candidate to have strong awareness of GIS concepts, cartography, geography, database design and Python scripting. Possessing the ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing is essential.
Your Capabilities and Credentials:
Minimum of three years documented experience performing software development; preferably working with a team of developers
Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science, Engineering, Geographic Information Systems or related field is required
Experience must include web application development, Microsoft SQL Server, and jQuery
Candidates must be well organized, self-motivated, enjoy finding solutions to problems
Ability to participate in innovative initiatives to automate, document and improve processes
Preferred experience includes work as a consultant, responsive web design, mobile web applications, geographic information systems, Python scripting or SQL Server DBA duties
Technical knowledge and an understanding of current IT and software development best practices is highly desirable
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
