Company is a world leader in the production of molecular sieve adsorbents and specialty products for global markets servicing the petrochemical, refining, and medical oxygen industries. They are looking for a Process Engineer with Chemical Manufacturing experience.
Job Description:
The Process Engineer will support the Plant Manager in the implementation of process changes to improve the quality and quantity of molecular sieve products by:
Performing process optimization studies
Analyzing operating procedures and equipment functions to reduce processing time and cost without impacting quality
Maintaining a database on production information, equipment, and process capability
Coordinating procedures to control the process, movement, storage, and packaging of products
Performing tests throughout production stages to determine the degree of control over variables
Working with and training chemical equipment operators on various plant processes and procedure changes
Coordinating off-specification production investigations and facilitating preventive action plans
Equipment troubleshooting to optimize output and efficiencies
Designing, coordinating and implementing small capital projects
Job Requirements:
BS in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
1 - 5 years process engineering experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
Excellent equipment and process troubleshooting skills
Computer skills with proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and statistical analysis
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of manufacturing personnel - management, co-workers, and operations staff
Production coordination experience a plus
Bottom Line Requirements:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
2. 1 - 5 years process engineering experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
3. Excellent equipment and process troubleshooting skills.
4. Computer skills with proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and statistical analysis.
5. Production coordination experience a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
