Software Engineer

The Software Engineer will assist in the planning and development of embedded application-level software on our hardware products and be mainly responsible for the implementation of the completed designs.
Software application environments may include but not be limited to Windows and Linux environments.
Coding of designs, documenting produced source code, and supporting existing legacy implementation will be the main components of this position.
Development of test plans, actual testing, and documentation of test results for software developed will also be required.
Duties and Responsibilities Assist in the Planning and Architecture of software applications for Interfaces for integration with custom hardware User interfaces Communication protocols Diagnostic tools and utilities Data analysis and storage Installation software Software implementations of finalized designs Development and documentation of application requirements and specifications Application lab and field testing Documentation of test results Assist in the commissioning of various products Qualifications and Competencies Bachelors in Computer Science/Computer Information Systems or equivalent 3-6 years of experience developing in Python or C+
on embedded platforms Linux experience is highly preferred Experience with Raspberry Pi, Nvidia processors/GPUs, or NXP I.
MX processors Video/Image processing experience is desired but not required SQL/SQLite experience is desired but not required Significant experience in troubleshooting and debugging Experience in application architecture design and analysis Must possess the ability to develop and communicate new concepts and apply them accurately Organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases and determine the appropriate approach at the task or project level Must have strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Working Conditions Daily Job duties will consist of office, lab, and desk work with occasional field testing required.
Candidate may be allowed to visit customer facilities above ground or underground but on an infrequent basis While on-site, the employee could be exposed to work near large moving machinery Customer operations may contain airborne particles and allergens Matrix employees are furnished and required to wear safety gear such as hard hats, steel-toe shoes, reflective clothing, earplugs, and safety glasses if needed Occasional travel and ability to work various shifts as required by customer Physical Requirements Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
