As the Lending Compliance Support Specialist, your day will be filled with opportunities to assist the Compliance Department in all functions related to lending compliance, with emphasis on the compilation and review of CRA and HMDA data.
Regulatory knowledge and strong verbal and written communication skills are important while Stock Yards Bank & Trust will provide a professional environment to continually improve the candidates skills to further his/her career goals for advancement within the banking profession.
Responsibilities Collect and review HMDA and CRA loan data to assist with the following:
Compilation and review of data to complete the Banks CRA and HMDA loan application registers.
Ensures all HMDA and CRA related fields within loan operating system have been correctly and completely input.
Review loan application data and credit files for accuracy in reporting consistent with HMDA and CRA requirements.
Coordinate with various departments to resolve inconsistencies in loan data and recommend changes as warranted that will ensure the efficiency and accuracy in reporting of HMDA data.
Assist with the compilation of bank investment data, community development lending and employee service activities to measure the Banks CRA performance.
Assists the Compliance Officer and Compliance staff with monitoring adherence to lending and deposit regulations, including but not limited to:
Conducting periodic reviews of loan accounts, including product disclosures, loan estimates and closing disclosures and adverse action forms.
Participating in periodic reviews of loan files for compliance with multiple lending regulations.
Assisting Compliance staff with flood insurance compliance, including calculating required amounts, tracking existing and expired insurance policies, and ensuring required disclosures and signatures are present in loan files.
Job Requirements The successful candidate will have the following
Qualifications:
BS/BA Business or related field (or substitute work experience) Minimum of 2 years related experience General knowledge of State and Federal regulatory requirements.
Ability to function in a multi-task environment.
Knowledge of small business, consumer and mortgage lending practices.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; must demonstrate ability to tactfully communicate with and gain respect of all employees.
Strong planning and organizational skills; must demonstrate good analytical and problem solving skills in an ever changing environment.
Extensive knowledge of bank policies and procedures.
Ability to define problems and propose solutions.
Good computer and office equipment operation skills.
