Lead Controls Engineer

Adecco Search has partnered with a global manufacturing leader to recruit and hire a Lead Controls Engineer in Louisville, KY.
The Lead Controls Engineer is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the engineering standards for electrical, automation, robot and test equipment for the company.
They will lead electrical and automation projects and support New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Overseeing electrical and control aspects of capital equipment expenditures that support new product designs, capacity enhancements, and quality improvement goals.
Managing multiple projects, and/or project lifecycles, including specification development, supplier selection and management, purchase, safety/risk assessments, design and build, installation, and qualification of manufacturing equipment.
Determining optimal electrical recommendations for equipment and processes while considering cost and performance optimization.
Participating in the Production Preparation Process (3P) to develop manufacturing tooling, equipment, and processes, considering the entire value stream.
Ensuring equipment is compliant with industry and governmental Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards.
Conducting mockups and prototypes for validation and ensuring team is trained and operating safely.
Collaborating with functional leaders to align equipment and processes with Lean Manufacturing, Ergonomic Design, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives.
Recommending new technologies and driving continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Working with the design team to ensure Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA) principles are incorporated into part designs.

in Engineering 7
years of experience in controls engineering, electrical, automated manufacturing equipment and processes.
Strong knowledge and practice of ISO 13849.
Experience managing high value capital equipment procurement projects.
Knowledge of controls software such as RSLOGIX/STUDIOLOGIX, PROFICY, and SIMATIC, as well as ladder logic, structured text, and function blocks coding structures, MS Office, Minitab, and Windows Hands-on experience in the design and operation of automation equipment with multiple axes or robots.
Familiarity with assembly line design, automation, customized fabrication equipment, and various manufacturing processes.
Ability to travel for up to 40% travel, both domestically and internationally.
Willingness to work off-shifts and weekends as required.
Possession of TUV Certification Rheinland FS Technician.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
