Position:
ControllerMiranda Construction, LLC, an established general contractor in Louisville, KY, has an immediate opening for a full-time seasoned Controller who will be responsible for overseeing all accounting transactions for several companies.
Responsibilities:
Oversee weekly check runs based on due dates and jobs paid Process all Cash Management Entries Validating all costs before financials are generated Oversee 1099s Monitor all jobs in Sage (setup, budgets, costs, commitments, billings, and change orders) Monitor all owner invoices Receive deposits Generate monthly accounts receivable aging for leadership Monitor all payroll (taxes, Paycor, Sage) Oversee W2s Oversee 401k 5500 Make all general ledger entries (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) Reconcile bank accounts for all companies Close Month/Year Prepare WIP and Financials Monitor all Accounting Duties - Complete audits and deal with financial issues Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
CPA preferred with relevant work experience of four plus Solid understanding of construction accounting.
Proficiency in MS Office and excellent computer skills; skilled in use of Microsoft Excel with ability to create spreadsheets, formulas and use of pivot tables and V-look ups.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with high degree of accuracy and diligence.
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
Open to change and willing to learn new skills.
Ability to follow up on pending issues.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and work ethics.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
