We are seeking a member of our First Impression Team! Position
Summary:
The Athletic Trainer/Clinical Support assists the staff and physician by collection of pertinent patient information needed to determine physical needs, address and identify health problems, perform selected treatments, diagnostic procedures and routine duties.
They are part of the clinical team, designed to provide a high-touch experience for patients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities ? Greets patients in an empathetic, understanding manner.
? Accurately obtains vital signs and records patient data in an accurate, legal and appropriate manner in the patient's electronic medical record ? Performs application of splints, braces and wound dressings in the correct manner.
? Assists physician with exams/procedures ? Cleans Room/equipment/instrument set-up, cleaning, practice good infection control, order supplies and restock as necessary ? Assists with triaging patients and answering patient questions/concerns in-person or via telephone ? Acts as a member of the clinical team, working closely to ensure appropriate care and attention is provided in a timely manner.
? Prepares maintenance requests as needed ? Respects/promote patient rights, maintain confidentiality, and exhibit friendly/helpful behaviors ? Responds to emergencies in appropriate manner and according to policy.
? Follows all OSHA and departmental policies; perform quality control, record of data as necessary.
? All departmental/staff/operational problems reported to the appropriate supervisor in a timely manner.
Clerical duties may include scheduling, answering phone, filing, copying, completing forms/referrals/pre-certifications, obtaining demographic information, updating charts.
