Professional Dog Trainer
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Conduct dog training sessions for clients and their pets in local parks- Assess and evaluate dogs' behavior and temperament- Develop personalized training plans based on individual needs and goals- Teach basic and advanced obedience commands- Address behavioral issues, such as reactivity or separation anxiety- Provide guidance and support to pet owners on training techniques and strategies- Monitor progress and make adjustments to training plans as needed- Maintain accurate records of training sessions and client information - Trainers must be able to board dogs at their personal residence for 14 days at a time.
Experience:
- Previous experience in animal care or handling, such as pet grooming, animal restraint, or pet sitting- Knowledge of dog behavior and training techniques- Familiarity with veterinary practices and procedures is a plus- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners- Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients and tasks simultaneously If you have a passion for working with dogs and helping pet owners build a strong bond with their furry friends, we would love to hear from you.
