Job Summary The New Business Development Manager is responsible for directing the New Business team in discovering material handling sales opportunities through understanding the business needs of our customers and prospects.
The New Business Development Manager will recruit and develop an effective team, directing sales efforts through quality guidance and carry out ProLift's sales visions and strategies.
The New Business Development Manager will be effective and responsible in general leadership, customer satisfaction, sales and asset/expense control.
The ideal candidate will proactively communicate with sales specialists on appointments and quote requests while also strengthening our database health.
General Duties and Responsibilities Direct supervisory responsibility for new business sales specialists, including motivating,coachingand developing the sales team performance at a higher level Oversee the activities of assigned sales specialists to ensure the team is meeting or exceeding achievement of monthly,quarterlyand annual sales goals Develop Field Trainers through coaching and assessments Up to 50% travel Promote ProLift Toyota Material Handling's philosophies, vision,strategiesand value of Doing the Right Thing;Promote the TLM Toyota Lean Management philosophy Educational/Job Requirements The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree, five years of strong sales experience with industrial sales and/or new business development, one year of hands-on experience managing accounts and contacts in database systems, three or more years leading a team or department, preferably a sales specialist or new business team, and display efficiency in Microsoft products such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
This role will require up to 50% of travel of which a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.
The New Business Development Manager communicates to customers, and sales staff, which requires excellent verbal and written communication skills with a particular emphasis on listening skills.
The ideal candidate will protect the organization's values by maintaining confidential information utilizing their ability to handle sensitive information.
