EIT (Civil Engineer)

DescriptionGAI Consultants, Inc.
is seeking an EIT to work with the Power Generation Business Sector on primarily Power Generation projects and when needed other regional projects.
GAI offers its employees the ability to work remotely or in a hybrid setting, and this position is eligible for a sign-on bonus.
The successful candidate will be working out of the Louisville, KY office and will perform both design and monitoring tasks under the supervision of a licensed professional engineer.
Job Duties:
Site Grading PlansErosion and Sediment Control PlansStormwater Management PlansHydrologic and Hydraulic / Drainage PlansUtility Design and Relocation PlansMaintenance and Protection of Traffic PlansGeotechnical InvestigationsPermit Applications (earth disturbance permits, building permits, land development plans, high occupancy permits, etc.
)Access Road Section DevelopmentConstruction Drawings, Specifications, and Quality Control PlansConstruction Cost EstimatesOwner's Engineer Support During ConstructionField InvestigationsDaily/Weekly Construction InspectionsEarthwork Construction Quality ControlCompaction TestingConcrete TestingESC InspectionsSWPPP InspectionsEnvironmental MonitoringThe candidate should have the desire and ability to travel to Project sites, as needed, primarily in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
