Summary:
The Philanthropy Officer (PO) is charged with meeting goals and contributing to the overall growth of philanthropy; to secure funds for the organization by fulfilling the interests and passions of donors to Baptist Health by providing them with giving opportunities and encouraging them to give.
The PO will work directly with the Director of Philanthropy on a major gift program focused on individual major giving to the Foundation; will build strong relationships with major giving donors and prospects and actively develop a major giving pipeline of larger gifts and increased revenue; will steward an active portfolio of individual major gift prospects and donors.
Essential Duties (Fundraising) Serve as a strategic member of the philanthropy team with the primary responsibility for advancing the organization's major gifts program Play a central role in developing, overseeing, and managing major gift strategies Responsible for growing and maintaining a comprehensive major gift portfolio focused on attracting gifts in excess of $10,000 Cultivate prospects and donors through the moves management program focused on face-to-face visits and individual relationship development Manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects Work with Foundation leadership to develop written cultivation, solicitation and stewardship plans Work with hospital staff to advance a culture of philanthropy and gratitude Manage donor and prospect accounts within Foundation database ensuring information is complete and up to date Track individualized donor interactions in database Other assignments and special projects as assigned by the Director of Philanthropy Follows Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Area of focus in field related to non-profit work, healthcare or fundraising preferred.
Three (3) years fundraising and/or sales experience preferred.
Experience in management of development programs preferred.
Experience in customer service or relationship management preferred.
