Development Associate

Summary of FunctionThe Development Associate coordinates database and stewardship efforts within the development department, including gift processing, database reporting, grant management, and administrative support to the Director of Development and Executive Director.
Agency Duties and Responsibilities1.

Key Responsibility Areas:
Data and Gift and Administration Process all donations and ensure timely gift acknowledgment Enter all gifts, grants, in-kind, event registrations, constituents and prospects in database.
Perform ongoing database maintenance to ensure integrity Maintain reporting schedules and pulling reports as necessary; Maintain department/campaign dashboards, incorporating regular updates Assists with appeals, preparing mailings, donor lists, and post-campaign reports Track and follow-up on prospects and donors in conjunction with the Director of Development Respond to inquiries from donors and funders; Assists with meeting materials, including pre-meeting research and collateral.
Coordinate regularly with the Finance Department regarding donor gifts and assist with Monthly Finance reconciliation Grant Management Manage grant calendar, including proactively sending reminders about due dates and content needed Help with grant reporting by working with other teams to collect information Assist with preparing and submitting grant proposals, including writing portions of grants.
Development, Executive Director, Board of Directors - Administrative Support Assist in the preparation of correspondence for the Director of Development and Executive Director as needed.
Assist with scheduling meetings with donors and prospects.
Provide administrative support for fundraising & stewardship events, including attendance/RSVPs, guest outreach, preparing materials, & inventory management Supports event planning and production as appropriate; Organizes event materials and assists with meetings and events including administrative support for RSVP tracking, guest outreach, inventory management, preparing material, and event logistics, such as catering and coordinating with event venue.
Support preparation of Board of Directors and Board Committee meeting scheduling, agendas, handouts, reports, rosters, calendar and meeting minutes as needed Front desk coverage when neededRequired Background, Skills and
Qualifications:
Understanding of Neighborhood House vision and desire to advance our mission Minimum of 3 years of administrative/office work experience in a related professional setting, preferably in fundraising and nonprofit environments.
Highly reliable, extremely organized, and highly detail-oriented Motivated to build relationships with Neighborhood House supporters and members and work across internal teams.
Strong communication skills in person, across electronic platforms, and on the phone.
Flexibility, ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
Able to work some evenings, early mornings or weekends occasionally Competency with Microsoft Office Suite Discretion with confidential information.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Prior experience with CRM software or other database/event tracking systems.
Working knowledge of basic graphic design software, such as Canva or the Adobe Suite Experience in working with a Board of Directors Experience with event ticketing and/or silent auction platforms Recommended Skills Adaptability Administration Adobe Agenda Development Attention To Detail Auctioneering Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
