Manage the Data Center Team responsible for administration and support of ARC's Data Center operations as well as ARC's technology platforms, systems, products, and applications supporting internal and external customersEnsure the team is operating as expected and the physical data center environment is running at optimum efficiencyCoach and mentor the Data Center Team to motivate and grow talentEnsure the team is familiar with and follows the Data Center's security standards, disaster recovery and business continuity plan, policies and procedures, and business practices to ensure proper steps are followed in the event of unexpected problemsMay also be required to assist in troubleshooting issues and cross-train team members to eliminate any key individual dependenciesWork with stakeholders to perform analysis of production systems' jobs, backup processes, system monitors, server availability, and provide process improvements and/or solutions based on their inputWork with stakeholders and product teams to create, implement, and execute standard operating procedures for providing first-tier support to internal and external customers interacting with ARC's platforms, systems, products, and applicationsPlan, direct, and oversee the financial budget for the Data Center Operations department as well as recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and monitoring the performance of the Data Center team membersManage several vendor relationships providing support to ARC's physical data center and managed platforms, including vendor resources onboarding, offboarding, and continuous deliveryLead and train the Data Center Team to provide site auditing, hardware installation and decommission activities, cabling, and racking servicesWork directly with contractors to schedule changes as well as coordinating preventative maintenance schedules and troubleshooting of environmental equipment issuesLead and manage daily system status meetings as well as create monthly incident reports to analyze and document trends and areas of improvementsPrepare and provide findings and recommendations on a regular basis to upper leadershipYou'll Bring These
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Computer Science or related engineering field; Bachelor's degree preferredEquivalent work experience considered5 years of experience in data center operations role 3 years of experience in managing, coaching, and developing technical operational teams Experience with supporting critical systems' functions and providing support to internal and external customers in a 24/7/365 environment Experience managing physical data center space, related maintenance and support, and vendors' relationships Experience with monitoring, observability, reporting, and alerting tools for technology platforms, network, systems, applications, and data center environmental conditions Experience with managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting job scheduling technologies and platforms Experience with leading multiple resources through triaging events and ability to communicate after action reports General knowledge of general IT concepts in networking, system administration, and client/server application architectures Working knowledge of IT methodologies including Change/Release management controls/processes, auditing (PCI/ISO27001), Incident/Problem Management Ability to motivate teams, maintain high morale, and achieve consistent and highly performant teams Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to communicate with internal and external customers and all levels of management, including communicating technical information to nontechnical audiences A strong intellectual curiosity to continually challenge what exists and explore what should be changed to best meet evolving business goals What We Can Offer You:
