POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:
The Business Development Officer is responsible for generating new loan growth for the assigned business lines Lending division in our defined markets.
This position will be responsible for developing relationships with Lenders and Brokers that will result in those entities referring loans to Republic Bank.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the assigned business lines lending business or a financial institution is required.
Minimum of 1-year sales/new business development experience preferred.
Strong understanding of the assigned business lines landscape and the ability to identify and cultivate a pipeline of prospective dealer and broker accounts preferred.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage existing loan portfolio and assess profitability.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and internet applications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Develop and participate in a sales calling plan to develop sources of loan originations from the various assigned business lines dealers/brokers in the defined market.
Maintain consistent referral sources and retain this referral base through regular calling/entertainment initiatives to strengthen personal relationships.
Keep appraised of evolving market conditions and performance of the entire portfolio.
Support all other departments of the Bank and maintain a cooperative and professional relationship with all bank associates.
Learn the credit culture of Republic Bank in order to present appropriate credits for approval.
Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your position and area of responsibilities and actively learn new regulations and assist in the implementation, if required.
Model and foster behaviors that support the Banks values and corporate culture creating an atmosphere of trust, cooperation, accountability, and dedication to the organization.
Willingly perform all other duties and projects as assigned.

Travel between Republic Banking facilities to dealers/brokers, is required.
Significant out-of-town travel is required.
Flexible work schedule that will include some evenings and weekends.
Stay abreast of new developments, best practices, and statutory and regulatory changes.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
