Information Technology (IT) Director

Talis Group's client is an established privately held manufacturer located in Louisville, KY seeking an IT Director.
The IT Director will be responsible for overseeing and managing the information technology department within the manufacturing facility.
This position will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective use of technology systems, infrastructure, and resources to support the company's operational objectives.
The IT Director will provide strategic direction, leadership, and hands-on technical expertise to optimize technology solutions and drive innovation across the organization.

Highlighted Duties:
Develop and execute the IT strategy and roadmap aligned with the manufacturing facility's business goals and objectives.
Lead and manage the IT team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations to ensure a high-performing and motivated workforce.
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust and secure IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage systems, and telecommunications.
Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of business applications, such as ERP systems, production management systems, and data analytics platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technology needs, recommend solutions, and manage IT projects from initiation to successful completion.
Establish and maintain IT policies, procedures, and standards, including data security, disaster recovery, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, software applications, and hardware solutions to enhance operational efficiency and productivity in the manufacturing environment.
Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee service level agreements to ensure effective delivery of IT services and support.
Monitor IT budgets, track expenses, and provide regular reports to senior management on IT performance, project status, and resource allocation.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the IT department.
Highlighted Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience (3
years) in IT leadership roles, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of IT disciplines, including infrastructure, systems administration, network management, and cybersecurity.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement IT strategies, aligning technology initiatives with business objectives.
Experience managing complex IT projects and leading cross-functional teams to successful outcomes.
In-depth knowledge of enterprise systems, such as ERP or MRP and familiarity with manufacturing processes and systems integration.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Proven track record in vendor management, contract negotiations, and budget management.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive and strategic mindset.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
