About the Role:
You've always loved it, now be part of it! Ferrero's Louisville manufacturing plant, where we proudly manufacture Little Brownie Baker and Famous Amos cookies, is looking for our next Maintenance Supervisor.
As Maintenance Supervisor you will lead a team of Maintenance Technicians coordinating and organizing maintenance crew activities to ensure the highest levels of reliability and efficiency across production linesYou will be responsible for overseeing maintenance operations, providing support for interventions, and collaborating on new projects.
Your scope as Maintenance Supervisor will also include defining, organizing, and managing periodic revision programs, and interventionsExcellence in leadership, teamwork, problem solving, decision making and experience in union environments will be strong assets in this roleYour expertise will be crucial in ensuring smooth operations, minimizing downtime and contributing to the overall success of the company.
This position is on a rotating 12hr Night Shift (4:
00pm - 4:
00am), reports into the Maintenance Manager and is eligible for Overtime Incentive.
Main
Responsibilities:
Supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training and performance feedbackPlan and prioritize maintenance tasks to ensure minimal disruption to production schedulesDevelop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtimeConduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and infrastructure to identify potential issues and address them proactivelyCoordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities and minimize production interruptionsEnsure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness among the maintenance teamMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and inventory managementSource and manage external contractors for specialized maintenance or repair projects as requiredCollaborate with the procurement department to ensure the availability of necessary spare parts and maintenance suppliesIdentify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the maintenance departmentThis position may require approximately 5% travel and work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift and on weekends/holidaysWho we are looking for:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field plus 2 years of proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred OR High School Diploma/GED plus at least 5 years of work experienceExperience with SAP and production reporting systemsStrong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems as well as equipment maintenance best practicesExcellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a team
manage complexityStrong problem-solving and decision making abilitiesSolid understanding of safety regulations with the ability to promote a culture of safetyAbility to work with employees at all levels of the organizationProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteHow to be successful in the role and at Ferrero:
