Meaningful Work From Day One:
The Financial Analyst supports the US&C Lead Accountant and is responsible for various accounting and financial transactions and analyses for the U.
S.
and Canada Region (US&C).
This position will work with US & Canada Finance divisions, Brand Teams, Supply Chain, Corporate Accounting, Global POS Sourcing,Global Business Solutions (GBS), and other cross-functional groups within the organization.
The analyst will ensure the accuracy of Brown-Forman's financial records and compliance with internal controls and will propose and participate in process improvement projects.

What You Can Expect:
Serve as a business partner to the US&C business and its Finance division, performing financial accounting and analysis.
This position includes monthly, quarterly, and annual year-end accounting and closing activities as well as other important tasks and responsibilities such as:
Financial Records:
oEnsures an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closeoThis position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing entries, financial analysis, year-end audit preparation, etc.
oOversees advertising and promotion, and other accrual calculations and recordsoPrepares or manages and respects all deadlines imposed by the company (monthly journal entries, Sarbanes Oxley controls, quarterly account reconciliations, etc.
)Operations:
oPrepare the US&C A&P (Advertising & Promotion) entry (i.
e.
, estimate of incurred brand expense) and associated financial analysis (i.
e.
variance analysis)oManage POS accounting and reconciliations; identify and resolve SAP and HH Global systems' interface issuesoManage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting close process for US&Canada divisionsoPrepare and coordinate accounting year-end training meetings with all US & Canada employeesoManage journal entries e.

brand expense; prepaid amortizations; marketing research; accruals, corporate freight and warehouse variances, inventory true-ups, reclassifications, intercompany accruals and invoicingoEnsure accuracy and documentation of reclass entries and year-end accruals requested by the region's finance teamoManage Distributor Investment Funds (DIF) yearly contracts and reconciliations process and perform random audit reviews to ensure controls are compliant with guidelinesoManage lease accounting entries for US & Canada divisionsoPrepare Balance Sheet Accounts Reconciliations and clearingsoEnsure SOX Control complianceAnalytics and Advisory:
oAssist with month-end financial analysis reviewoWork with US&C Finance to understand significant brand expense accrual adjustments and period variancesoAnalyze POS inventory levels and ensure they tie to HHG Global reportsoLead year-end accounting training to US & Canada finance and commercial teamsoLead/assist ad-hoc analysis projects e.

oBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administrationo5
years of accounting or finance experience in similar rolesoCPA desiredoProven accounting and analytical capabilities with the ability to collect, analyze, and present results in a concise formatoProactive in recommending positive changes in procedures and leading the agreed-upon change processoAbility to work efficiently on Excel and/or Google SheetsoExperience in working with SAP, Business Warehouse or similar softwareoDemonstrated interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective work relationships with all levels of personnelWhat Makes You Unique:
