Senior Construction Technician

Description Systems Planning Corporation (SPC), a subsidiary company of GAI Consultants, Inc.
is looking for a Senior Construction Technician to be responsible for observing construction activities, completing field testing of soils/earthwork, and completing daily reports to monitor and document Construction Activities.
The assigned project work is located in Rockport, IN.
Qualified applicants located in or near Owensboro, KY, or the surrounding area would be ideal.
Travel to the GAI office in Louisville, KY will be required 8-10 times/year.
The successful candidate will perform repetitive and routine inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures of standard parts, units, equipment, or materials.
Job Duties:
Performs inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies, or finished company products according to well-defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical, and/or electrical measurements.
Reworks or rejects subassemblies or finished products as required.
Performs audits to ensure standards of quality are maintained.
Accurately documents the results of the inspections and testing.
Coordinates calibration of test equipment and fixtures.
Assists in the writing and updating of inspection procedures, protocol, and checklists.
Requires ability to interpret prints, schematics, and drawings.

QualificationsEducation High School of Diploma (required)Bachelors of Engineering (preferred)Bachelors of Construction Management Services (preferred)Experience 2 - 4 years:
Construction experience with earthwork, or a Degree in Geology, Engineering or related field.
(required)Experience with Nuclear Density Gauge Testing, ACI Grade 1 Certification and OSHA 10-hour Training is desired, but not required.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
