The Carlisle Group has been retained to search for a Development Project Manager. Our preferred client is a leader in the convenience retail industry. They are privately owned, have approximately 170 stores and do 2.3 billion in sales. The organization is growing and they would like to add a Development Project Manager to their team. This position will be located in the Louisville, KY area.

General Summary
The Development Project Manager will act as a lead in the day to day development project management activities for new and remodeled stores.

Essential Job Functions
Provide overall project management, including the development, implementation and maintenance of the critical path on assigned projects.
Complete projects meeting design, cost and time requirements.
Provide timely project reporting and tracking to all necessary Store Development team members on a regular basis
Represent the company on zoning, planning, variance and permitting issues by interfacing with state, county and city planning, zoning and engineering departments and attending relevant public meetings.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with outside engineering firms, governmental agencies, elected officials, developers, brokers, landlords, attorneys, etc.
Manage vendor due diligence tracking system.
Lead the bid analysis and developing accurate preliminary cost estimates on assigned projects.
Serve on various design committees, as assigned.
Serve as lead project manager on various of assigned capital projects.
Help in development of project management processes, systems and tools.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or equivalent
PMI certified
Minimum 5 years in retail development
Projects between $1 and $10 million
Project Management or Construction Management background
Petroleum experience helpful
Design build experience helpful
project management and analytical skills
Proficient in project scheduling software
Proficient in construction technology, means and methods
Strong presentation and negotiation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities
A wide degree of critical thinking skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Power Point.
Proficient in Microsoft Project or other scheduling platform
The position requires approximately 35% travel.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
