Summary:
The position of Building & Equipment Maintenance associate is an essential function of our success. The person hired for this position maintains and performs daily preventative maintenance on all building equipment including cranes, conveyors, and power industrial
vehicles
(PIV) to ensure maximum operating efficiency for all equipment.
Essential Functions of this role:
Maintains and performs daily preventive maintenance on cranes, conveyors, and power industrial vehicles
Observes mechanical devices in operation to determine potential cause of issue
Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, hand and power tools
Maintain appropriate levels of material handling equipment and maintenance supplies
Tracks and completes all preventative maintenance documentation utilizing Maximo database software application
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines including OSHA
Some of the requirements for this position:
High School Diploma or equivalent GED certificate
Must be able to work the following days and hours: Sunday 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Monday 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM, Thursday 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and Friday 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
Must be able to work HOLIDAYS
Three (3) years previous machine
repair
experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Electrical and programmable logic controller (PLC) experience (highly preferred)
Detail written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to multi-task, establishing appropriate priorities
Work independently and/or within a team environment
Must work effectively work with others, demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret a variety of written communications and diagrams
Proficiency in hydraulics,
electronics
, electrical and mechanical service and repair
General
computer
skills necessary, including database software applications
Experience operating power industrial vehicle (PIV) equipment (highly preferred)
Must be able to bend and lift, climb, stoop, crawl, and/or move up to 100 pounds on a regular basis
Ability to tolerate fluctuating temperatures (100 degrees to minus 10 degrees) and loud noises within the warehouse
