Summary:
The role of Senior Business Analyst applies best practices and discipline in researching, documenting and presenting business and operational processes and requirements that support the strategic objectives of the Corporation. The position often requires the Senior Business Analyst to act as a project's Business Analyst Team Lead, mentoring junior business analysts throughout the project. Projects assigned may be of high corporate visibility, complex and require interaction between executives, operational staff, developers, quality assurance, customer support, training and external vendors. Depending upon project complexity, the analyst may be assigned concurrent, multiple projects, both large and small.

Qualifications:

Science, Business or related 4 year degree
Formal education or training in Business Analysis a plus
Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
Possess strong interpersonal skills, including team and partnership building
Must be a self-starter, proactive, assertive and able to express ideas in a variety of atmospheres
Demonstrated proficiency in translating high level requirements into functional specifications
Able to work in a fast paced, multi-project environment
Project experience related to pharmacy industry, preferably Long Term Care.
Must possess strong analytical and technical skills

Essential Functions:

Acts as the liaison between stakeholders, including sponsors, business users, technology teams and support teams.
Defines, analyzes and documents current and future business processes, workflows and associated software; performs and documents gap analysis between the current and future states.
Understands and documents Use Cases; identifies the essential requirements and workflow.
Understands and documents accurate, traceable and testable business requirements and functional specifications; manages document changes.
Supports all aspects of testing, including interfaces to external systems.
Develops and executes Business Analysis and User Acceptance Plans.
Follows the company SDLC processes.
Recommends software solutions for project team consideration.
Validates the software and process solution meets the documented business and functional requirements.
Participates in new software development projects as well as upgrades to existing software.
Schedules and manages meetings and work sessions with all levels of a project team, including management and remote team members.
Analyzes data through the use of a variety of query tools; Learns software with minimal training.
Assists in the continuous improvement of company methodologies and procedures.

Preferred Industry
Experience: in any of the following areas

NCPDP D.0, Telecommunications or claim adjudication
ePrescribing Interfaces using NCPDP Script Standard or HL7
Pharmacy dispensing systems, including controlled substance and IV medication management
Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
ICD-9 to ICD-10 conversion
