We have 2 immediate opportunities available for experienced Cable Installation Technicians for our Healthcare client. These individuals will need to have presentable and polished customer facing skills to communicate well with both internal and external clients while meeting the expectations of the job description as a Cable Technician and working on the Implementation Services Team. These Cable Technicians will travel in a team of 3 ? 7 and will report to the Cabling Project manager of the team. A majority of the work is to remove outdated cable and install new cable to every patient bed in each hospital and making sure that work is up to hospital fire codes.
This is 100% travel (M-F; nationwide). Our client will arrange all travel, and airfare and hotel are paid for up front. Technicians will be reimbursed for rental cars, parking, and will have a daily meal allowance. Technicians must have credit cards that they can use for expenses and we will reimburse these on a weekly basis (we pay weekly and reimburse expenses weekly). Qualified candidates MUST HAVE a valid driver's license and be 25
years of age in order to rent a car. Technicians should be enthusiastic and customer focused.
Qualifications:
The right candidates will be team-oriented individuals who have experience installing structured wire cable systems (Cat5 and Cat6) for data and voice in large commercial environment to do nationwide contract work (40 hours weekly).
This individual will conduct site surveys, install voice and data cable, fiber optic cabling as well as rack and patch panels. This position requires an individual that has a highly technical approach to work.
Quality, customer service, and productivity are essential to the success of this position. Importance of customer focus cannot be stressed enough; ideal candidate will put what?s best for the customer ahead what work is easiest to perform.
Skill Set Required:
3
years experience in voice and data cable installation (structured cabling)
Manufacturer certifications: Panduit, Fluke, Lucent.
Client / Customer facing skills (VERY IMPORTANT)
Oversee of job site safety, completion, and presentation (VERY IMPORTANT)
Demonstrated manual dexterity, lift and carry loads up to 40 lbs., ability to work on ladders up to 15ft. and access crawl space areas.
Ability to pull cables, perform data runs, and check data cable terminations
100% travel position which requires you to fly out on Monday and back Friday.
May require weekend stays depending on geographic location of job site.
Ability to pass drug screen and background check.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
