Primary markets for our high-performance products include automotive, microelectronic, and communication interconnects, as well as a long history in the supply of standard alloys in the manufacture of ammunition, coinage, and builders' hardware. We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Accountant at our Louisville, Kentucky, office.
Purpose of Role
Analyze and provide monthly financial summaries for Olin Brass consolidated and International operations. Maintain accuracy of general ledger and financial statement reporting. Complete quarterly and annual PWC audit requirements. Coordinate budget and forecast for Corporate Selling General and Administrative and International Operations. Complete all commercial accounting for sales and metal margin developing Olin Brass adjusted sales.
Core Accountabilities
Analyze and provide monthly financial summaries for Olin Brass consolidated and International operations identifying key result highlights, variances, and performance issues.
Complete monthly balance sheet analytics and prepare to current external audit standards.
Complete Hyperion monthly upload for Olin Brass results to GBC Corporate. Provide Statistical Data Uploads for key performance indicators. Assist Director - Finance with Implementation/Testing of Hyperion Phase II (Automation of Internal Reporting B Package).
Ensure compliance and documentation with GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley as required.
Complete internal and external audit requests with PWC/Other and GBC.
Maintain scorecard for monthly closing work, tracking times and issues for continuous improvement opportunities.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
2. Proficient in all Microsoft Office tools, financial software and financial analysis.
3. Working knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley compliance and documentation.
4. At least three years' experience in mix of public accounting/private company experience with manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
5. CPA or CPA in progress preferred.
