Job Posting:
The Quality Manager is an opportunity to define and implement Best-in-Class practices at Tennant's Louisville Distribution Center. This person will be responsible for process integrity, defining the scope of and implementing an inbound inspection process, and working with the Louisville team to drive a sustainable Continuous Improvement program and culture.
Define Louisville Distribution Center's inbound inspection needs and implement the process. This position will then be responsible for managing the inbound inspection team.
Work with Supplier Quality Engineers and Current Product Engineers to resolve product quality issues identified during the Receiving Inspection process.
Manage the Quality team, which is responsible for process integrity, as well as the Customer Service Team. This will involve identifying root causes for order accuracy and shipment quality issues related to DC process, and subsequently driving the process improvements required to achieve quality improvements.
Develop leading indicator metrics to gauge improved quality performance.
Implement sustainable Continuous Improvement program and culture within the Louisville Distribution Center. This will involve partnering closely with Lean Managers at other sites to ensure consistency with Tennant's overall Lean culture.
Required Skills
Required Skills:
5 years of experience working with Lean and Six Sigma programs
Bachelor degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or General Business
Ability to proactively identify root cause and implement sustainable solutions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong leadership skills and ability to drive sustainable process improvement
Self-motivated and adaptable to change
Experience with ERP systems (SAP a plus) and Microsoft Excel
Required Experience
5 years of experience working with Lean and Six Sigma programs
Bachelor degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or General Business
