You will be responsible for providing direct floor supervision to the production process; administering documentation and record keeping; maintaining the quality management system; interacting with the customer and parts suppliers; engaging in problem-solving activities; providing leadership to sequencing operations, and material handling functions.

MAJOR DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Work with the Plant Manager on personnel issues, workforce needs, work schedules and problem resolution.
Establish vacation and overtime schedules for team members.
Work with the Plant Manager to develop objectives and goals for the manufacturing operation.
Work with team leaders and participate in the training of all team members.
Develop or refine material handling techniques that optimize labor efficiency.
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of TS16949 status.
Make data driven decisions and use Statistical Process Control (SPC) results.
Develop the workforce into a cohesive team with a common goal of group excellence in product quality and satisfaction of customer needs.
Using process sampling and charting techniques develop all personnel to make them functionally competent and knowledgeable in Statistical Process Control (SPC).
Be visible on the shop floor remaining actively involved with team members to provide guidance and/or support.
Function as the company's management representative in TS 16949 quality program efforts.
Manage production and sequencing schedules.
Maintain records and documentation of established goals in all Key Performance areas.
Communicate performance results to all team members on a regular basis, acting as necessary to improve deficient areas.
Oversee plant operations to insure compliance with OSHA and company regulations and programs as well as insure an acceptable level of performance against accident, injury, and workers' compensation cost objectives.
Acts as Safety Coordinator for facility in absence of HR Specialist
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree in Electronics, Engineering, Technology or equivalent work experience.
Production Management experience in an assembly/manufacturing environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
Proficiency with MS Office products required.
Maintain strict confidentiality of any proprietary business-related information to which entrusted
Location:
Lexington (northeast), KY Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
