Quality Manager Louisville, KY
The Quality Manager will work under the general direction of the Plant Manager and be responsible for the overall quality within the plant. Working with minimal supervision, the Quality Supervisor will assure that the facility maintains quality standards and compliance in accordance with company goals.
The Quality Supervisor will be responsible for the following functions on a regular basis:
Implement and monitor 100% containment of discrepant material as identified by the customer and facility the appropriate problem solving processes until irreversible corrective action is in place.
Provide leadership and support to employees by facilitating the necessary training for continuous growth, and conduct fair and constructive yearly evaluation of employees identifying their strengths and weaknesses as related to their job descriptions.
Keep plant personnel informed of quality related issues, as well as promote quality awareness throughout the manufacturing facility.
Participate in activities of Advanced Quality Planning including the creation of control plans, FMEAs, Operator Instructions, Quality Assurance Procedures, Laboratory Procedures, and product validation testing of manufactured components.
Interface with Customer quality departments and issue regular reports to plant management on customer satisfaction trends and related activities.
Implement company standards for measuring quality performance. Evaluate, appraise, and provide information feedback for continuous improvement.
This position is responsible for the leading the plant in TS 16949 and CCC compliance. This individual will ensure that the QMS is robust and maintain the continuous improvement activities.
Coordinate the development of the companys quality assurance program, including the formulation of policies, objectives, quality plans, and procedures.
Qualifications
The qualified applicant for Quality Manager will possess the following:
Bachelors Degree in a related field required
8
years of experience within the Quality arena required; this should include a minimum of 2 years as a Quality Auditor
Ability to coordinate with cross functional teams toward a common goal
ASQC certified as a CMI, CQA, CQE, CRE and/or CQM a plusEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
