MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR- PLASTIC INJECTION Louisville, KY
The facility for this role is an automotive supplier manufacturing facility for the Automotive Interiors division, supply plastic injection molded parts. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for scheduling and directing all maintenance personnel and maintenance schedules. This would include hiring, coordination of training and development as well as corrective action and disciplinary up to termination if necessary.
The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the following functions on a regular basis:
Collaborates with other departments to resolve maintenance problems and to keep manufacturing equipment operating in an efficient manner
Reviews various reports and confers, when needed, with the Production / Plant Manager to review problems and to ensure corrective action
Establishes priorities to minimize downtime.
Repairs and maintains all aspects of the plant equipment
Maintains a preventive and predictive maintenance programs on all machinery, equipment, etc, with documentation and records necessary to support the program.
Coordinates maintenance department inventory to be certain an adequate supply of material and repair parts are in stock to reduce production downtime due to breakdown of equipment.
Maintains numerous contacts with manufactures representatives to keep abreast of latest developments and techniques in maintenance and repair fields.
Investigates constantly new sources of supply to acquire the best price, delivery, and quality.
Coordinates and directs general labor operations to insure the facility is constantly in a clean and safe condition

Enforce safety rules daily. Noncompliance of safety rules will result in disciplinary action and/or termination.
Actively intervene to correct recognized unsafe actions and conditions.
Conduct daily observations of PPE use and safe work practices adherence and coach employees as needed.
Ensure that all accidents including first aid are reported.
Follow all safety guidelines established by this facility on a daily basis. Noncompliance to the safety policy will result in disciplinary action and/or termination.
Build credibility through continuous demonstration of safety as a value through their personal actions.
Maintains safe and healthful working conditions and ensure that safe work procedures and practices are followed.
Conduct weekly inspections of the workplace to identify, evaluate and control workplace hazards. Increase the frequency of the weekly inspections until departmental standards are met.
Additional Responsibilities
Schedules, coordinates and directs all necessary maintenance and construction work. Makes preliminary, intermediate and final inspection of maintenance and construction work to insure proper workmanship, materials and conformance to work methods and safety regulations
Qualifications
The qualified applicant for Maintenance Supervisor will possess the following:
Associate Degree in Technical or Manufacturing Technology (Bachelor of Science Engineer or equivalent preferred.
A Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment - injection molding process desired. Automotive preferred.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to plan, organizes, communicate, and motivate employees. Must be able to prioritize own work -day schedule
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Requires detailed knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic systems, and auxiliary equipment.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
