Responsibilities
The Human Resources Director (HRD) provides Human Resources leadership and support to one or more of the Company's operating regions. The HRD creates appropriate Human Resources policies and procedures and establishes and/or implements practices that provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes employee engagement, quality, productivity, standards and goal attainment.
Proactively communicate and consult with functional area and field senior leadership on issues related to Human Resources.
In partnership with functional area and field senior leadership, develop and communicate Human Resources policies and procedures which are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Partner with operational leaders to reduce employee turnover, improve employee satisfaction survey scores, champion employee development, etc.
Partner with operational leaders to create and implement action plans resulting from Employee Satisfaction Survey results.
Respond to and investigate employee relations issues such as employee complaints/ethic calls, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints, working with the Legal department for direction as appropriate.
Coach and counsel communities regarding employee corrective actions and continuous employee improvement.
Facilitate and/or provide training (including orientation) to both community department directors and the broader workforce, as necessary. This includes, but is not limited to, training related to frontline staff, pre-employment screenings, use of Atria systems, and adherence to Atria policies and procedures.
Plan and facilitate leadership training for community leadership.
Assist with maintenance, coordination, and communication of employee recognition programs.
Assist in onboarding of new communities by completing tasks including, but not limited to, presenting new hire orientation outlining employee expectations, conducting benefit discussions, and assisting with interviews and completion of employee screenings.
Conduct candidate interviews of key positions, such as Executive Directors, as appropriate.
Assist with processing of employee appeals, which includes, among other things, conducting investigations and interviewing relevant staff and others.
Review community compliance with Atria policies.
May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Master's degree or PHR/SPHR preferred.
Seven (7) or more years of Human Resources generalist experience.
Multi-state/location experience essential.
Computer literacy in MS Office required.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong decision-making, analytical, problem solving, and conceptual thinking skills.
Knowledge of local, state and federal employment and labor laws.
Substantial travel will be required on behalf of the Company.
Position requires driving responsibilities (may use Company provided vehicle and/or personal vehicle).
Will be required to travel up to 85% of the time on behalf of the Company. Travel time is subject to change based on business needs.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Must satisfactorily meet and be in compliance with Atria's Motor Vehicle Policy standards.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
