Health Technician (OA)

This position does not require clinical skills or licensing but should include experience with administering standardized assessments to a patient population. Working under the supervision of the Supervisory Program Coordinator with daily guidance & work assignments from the Behavioral Health Laboratory (BHL) Director, the incumbent will perform the following tasks:
Conduct baseline evaluations with patients to determine symptoms triage. Provide education to patients about program and resources available. Complete structured diagnostic and clinical assessments for patients participants. Administer clinical assessments/interviews and batteries of standard psychological tests and questionnaires. Obtain missing information from all sources (medical records, individual subjects, and clinical providers). Conduct quality assurance projects to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and completeness. Prepare timely summaries of collected data for each assigned project weekly to management. Investigate and review assessments and reports completed by others. Input collected data into centralized secure database systems to be reviewed and analyzed. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note:

Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:

Input collected data into centralized secure database systems to be reviewed and analyzed. OR Education:
Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have completed six months of full-time graduate education or an internship that is directly related to the work of a health technician. OR Combination:
Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of specialized experience and education beyond a bachelors degree equivalent to one year of experience. If education is used to meet specialized experience requirements, then such education must include courses directly related to the work of the health technician. Each component (experience and education) will be prorated to determine the percentage of each and must equal a total of 1 year or more. You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:
Test Administration Record Maintenance Report Preparation Data Entry Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Note:
A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
