Terex Materials Processing

Terex Materials Processing (MP), part of Terex Corporation, is a global manufacturer of lifting and material processing products and services.

Responsibilities

The General Manager, Finlay North America is responsible for growing machine and part sales and service across the region, with revenues in excess of $40M.
This role carries responsibility for Finlay team members assigned to our Louisville KY office plus remote team members.
Key responsibilities will be to drive a culture of safety first, develop and implement a strategy for continued business growth, sales delivery, service excellence and partnership with customers and distribution partners across the region.

Key Tasks

  • Establish a clear vision and culture with a strong emphasis on safety
  • Be responsible for sales revenue, gross margin, operating profit and inventory management and report on progress at the monthly management meetings.
  • Own the North American sales forecast for the Finlay brand, working with the Business Line Director, Site Operations and Manufacturing teams to make decisions on production planning and inventory.
  • Create and implement short- and long-range actions to grow sales and market share through effective dealer management.
  • Prospect new dealers for territories and market segments not currently covered
  • Provide strong leadership and coaching to the sales team, developing a world class team of territory managers able to partner and support an extensive dealer network to be extremely successful in their assigned territories.
  • Coach the team on developing business plans for each dealer and ensure regular documented feedback on progress vs plan is given.
  • Oversee Dealer sales targets and forecasts.
  • Ensure the team manage Dealer credit
  • Establish a plan for dealer & customer training on products, machine applications, services, warranties and technical sales.
  • Carry out ongoing research on local markets and business activity (including identifying competitive presence) and identify new opportunities for current and future products
  • Attend trade shows, Dealer conferences, and exhibitions and play an active part in marketing activities
  • Support the sales team to develop effective marketing initiatives for Dealer accounts.
  • Establish and implement growth plans for parts and services, which will include the increased use of data and analytics to anticipate customer requirements.
    Set annual budgets in conjunction with the Global Vice President of Parts for Materials Processing.
  • Work in partnership with the Senior Leadership team in Finlay on the equipment sales plan, ensuring that service and parts are positioned to support the required growth plan.
  • Regular review of performance and management of team.

Basic
Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A minimum of five years experience in a sales role; Business to Business or Technical sales

Preferrd
Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree in Technical/ Mechanical or Business Management preferred.
  • Significant experience in or with related industry.
  • Service and Part Sales management experience preferred.
  • Track record of business growth
  • Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with customers and dealers
  • Background in capital equipment markets.
  • Ability to develop and implement business strategies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team across a variety of locations.
  • Function well in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
